Weekly Update: 5/18 – 5/24

Happy Monday! Thanks to those who spent time with SLLIS this past weekend – at the Soiree, the 6th grade dance, the STL Swap Meet or at various enrollment events around town. We hope you had a great time!

Housekeeping & Announcements:

  • Summer Session Update Letter  – The Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE) recently notified all schools in Missouri that MAP test results will be delayed until the summer.  DESE had hoped that schools would be able to access student results within two weeks of test administration, but this year, that has not been possible.  As soon as we have access to student performance results, we will send those to families of our rising 4th-7th grade students.   As you may recall, earlier this semester, we were informed of a requirement to use MAP results to assign students to mandatory summer session.  In light of this recent announcement, we verified with DESE that we will not be expected to rely on that data for summer session participation.  WE INVITE ALL SLLIS STUDENTS TO ATTEND OUR FINANCIAL LITERACY SUMMER SESSION FROM JUNE 1ST-12TH. School hours, student transportation, food services, and Mosaic will operate as normally unless otherwise noted.
