As stewards of public funds and public trust, St. Louis Language Immersion Schools strives for transparency regarding all aspects of our operations. To that end, we would like to inform the community of a recent event involving a former employee.
Administrative leadership at St. Louis Language Immersion Schools was made aware of the arrest of Kevin Scott Tate. As detailed in a story run today in the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, Mr. Tate was charged with felony stealing from the Oakville High School booster club bank account.
Mr. Tate was employed as the Director of Finance for a six week period beginning in October 2013. During his brief employment, he did not have access to bank accounts nor did he act in the capacity of financial agent for the institution. Mr. Tate submitted a notice of resignation in mid-November 2013 and was released immediately.
