Happy Chinese New Year

Today marks the start of the Chinese Year 4712. It is the year of the horse. The horse is part of the 12-year-cycle of animals that make up the Chinese zodiac. At the start of each year, there are new predictions based on the specific zodiac animal of the year.
The Chinese New Year Celebration lasts 15 days. It starts with the first day of the new year and finishes on the 15th, The Lantern Festival day. In China, a New Year is celebrated with dancing, food, music and family. Here is a video about Chinese New Year. Within the last 24-hours, BBC News has captured lots of great photos of different Chinese New Year celebrations happening around the world. 
Don”t forget to turn in the New Year Celebration registration form to school with the payment. The celebration takes place on Feb. 8th, starting at 4:15 p.m. TCS students will be preforming!
