SLLIS is has become a member of Schools That Can (STC). STC is a national non-profit organization committed to growing seats of quality education for low-income students. STC schools are district, charter, independent, or faith-based. STC assists their schools in sharing effective practices, facilitating partnerships, and providing peer recognition and support locally between schools and nationwide between cities for the purpose of sustaining and growing high performing quality schools. Nationwide, there are 120 schools across 15 cities in the Schools That Can network.
Rhonda is excited about the membership: Membership in Schools That Can will provide our Heads of School with local and national thought partners on transformational school leadership. The STC model recognizes school success and development while cultivating inquiry among the leadership teams. We emphasize inquiry in our student experience, and Schools That Can affords our Heads of School to develop as inquirers for full school development.
