TCS Moon Festival Celebration and Parent Night

Dear TCS Families,
This year we are happy to announce that we will be having the Chinese Moon Festival.  Mark your calendars for Friday, September 27th. Join us at 6:30 PM for festivities. Take a look at the flyer and registration form for more information. This will be our  first parent night, a school community building and fundraising event. Please come and join us!
Last year we were not able to celebrate the festival because our school had just opened. This year with the dedication of our parent committee led by Amy Trapp and our SAC parents, we are able to celebrate together. Thanks, Amy and your team for the incredible work in preparation !
The Chinese Moon Festival, is also known as the Mid-Autumn Festival or the Mooncake Festival. It is an important and favorite holiday for Chinese people around the world. The Chinese Moon Festival is a joyous time for family, friends, and couples to reunite under a full moon. Families get to eat moon cakes and enjoy the moon. The  Moon Festival is a great way to share and experience Chinese Culture.

Moon Festival Legend:
Known as the Zhongqiu Jie in Chinese, the Moon Festival dates back to over 3,000 years. A multitude of legends have developed over the years. Most stories are based on the idea that the goddess Chang’e lives on the moon; tales of how she got there diverge widely, however.
