Arlene went to Washington DC this past week to accept the Spanish Ministry of Education’s School of the Year Award for TSS. Ramón Gil-Cásares, Spanish Ambassador, and Xavier Gisbert Da Cruz, Education Counselor for the United States presented the award.
TSS received a Diploma, two Spanish Online Course Licenses for a year from Instituto Cervantes New York, and $1500.00.
As part of the ceremony, each winning school presented their educational programs.
During this trip, Arlene scheduled a site visit to Washington International School. She had the opportunity to learn about the Exhibition in 5th grade and also about Project Zero, an inquiry based program. Next year, TSS staff will learn more about Project Zero.
Enjoy the photos and felicidades to the Spanish School! What a great accomplishment to be recognized by the international community!
