This summer there are plenty of free movie events in St. Louis. Check it out!
The Wehrenberg Family Summer Series: Wehrenberg Theatres will once again host its popular Family Summer Series. Tickets to the movies are FREE! The series began on Wednesday, June 2nd. and will conclude on Thursday, August 5th. The participating Wehrenberg theater in St. Louis is Ronnies 20 Cine at 5320 South Lindbergh.
Showtimes are 10 AM every Wednesday and Thursday during the ten weeks of the series. The movies that will be shown include: Alvin & the Chipmunks 2, Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs, Fantastic Mr. Fox, Ice Age 3, The Muppet Movie, My Dog Skip, Percy Jackson & the Olympians, Planet 51, Tooth Fairy, and Where the Wild Things Are.
St. Louis Art Museum’s Outdoor Film Series: On July 6th, 13th, 20th and 27th, St. Louis Art Museum is hosting free music and festivities starting at 7:00 pm with a free movie showing afterward on Art Hill at 9:00 pm. The movies shown include Monty Python and the Holy Grail (7/6), The Birds (7/13), A Hard Day’s Night (7/20), and Goldfinger (7/27).
Cinema on the Plaza: Downtown St. Louis hosts Cinema on the Plaza on September 9th, 16th, 23rd and 30th at Old Post Office Plaza (801 Locust Street). Movies start at 7:30 pm and the cost is free. The movies shown will be Pee Wee’s Big Adventure (9/9), While You Were Sleeping (9/16), The Office Rerun Marathon (9/23) and Throw Momma from the Train (9/30).
