Free St. Louis City Camps
The City of St. Louis is offering academically, physically and creatively enriching summer camps free of charge this summer at various locations throughout the city.
Camps include Tennis (ages 7-15), Golf (ages 8-17), Football (ages 8-17), Bsketball (ages 8-17), Soccer (ages 7-15), Track (ages 8-17), Cheerleading (ages 8-17), Theatre (ages 8-15), Creative Writing (ages 8-13) and Poetry (8-13).
Camps vary in length, time offered and location. To enroll, fill and print the enrollment form. The enrollment form also contains specific information about the dates and location of each camp. For more information, call 314-289-5367.
Free Summertime Science
The St. Louis Science Center is offering free science activities for kids ages 5 and up from June 20th -August 2nd from 10 am – 12 pm. For more information, check out the information flier.
Free Summer Meals
From June 4th – August 10th, the City of St. Louis is opening the School’s Out Cafe to provide breakfast and lunch meals to kids 18 and under this summer. For more information or to find a location, call the Department of Human Services, Youth and Family Services at (314) 657-1695.
Free Learn to Play Ice Hockey – St. Peters, MO
Missouri Hockey is pleased to announce the Second Annual Missouri Hockey Learn to Play Ice Hockey program based on USA Hockey’s American Development Model (ADM).
This year they are offering a choice of (three) sessions.
- The first session will begin on June 4th, 2012 at the St. Peters Rec Plex South beginning at 6:00 pm.
- The second session will begin on June 16, 2012 at the Ice Zone at the Mills beginning at 11:15 am.
The one hour sessions are free to the first 70 children, ages 4 through 8, who have never played ice hockey and who are not presently enrolled in any ice hockey program. Missouri Hockey will provide each participant with loaner equipment and skates (certain skate sizes may be limited). Participants will keep their jersey and stick.
