SLLIS is featured as the cover story of this week’s West End Word.

This is our first article with interviewed parents and they are awesome!  Thanks Ms. Donayle for coordinating our parent media training and thanks to April and Heather for doing this interview. You can’t pay for press like this! And it is certainly the concert of our efforts that made it happen.  Muchissimas gracias et mille mercis!

The Suburban Journals printed a follow-up article about our schools this week.

Friday Sharon Stevens, the education reporter for KSDK came to our offices to interview Vince, the chair of our board, about the schools.  Great! I sat in on the interview and everything seemed to have gone fine.  Ms. Stevens even expressed enthusiasm about covering our schools more as we progress with the build-out and start of classes.  Later that evening I read the website write-up of the interview and was shocked at the serious misinformation it contained.  I wasn’t even going to blog about the press because I hoped that our families wouldn’t read the write-up (Who even knew that TV news stations wrote articles on their websites? Maybe everyone, but me?) Then I realized that our families are the folks who can correct the misinformation with their peers.  We’ve sent in official corrections to the station that I hope are respected and printed, but in the meantime, I’ll leave it to you to clarify this misinformation.

The St. Louis Beacon, an Internet publication, mentioned SLLIS in the article Charter school boosters try to close the gap.
