Check out IFF and SLLIS on KPLR Channel 11 this weekend!

IFF will be featured this Sunday, May 6th on All About Business, a weekly television program on KPLR channel 11 airing from 9 – 10 am.  IFF will have a 5-minute video that will be part of the show, which will describe the importance of IFF’s work to the nonprofit community in and around St. Louis, including SLLIS.  SLLIS Board member and IFF Manager of School Services Michelle Gleason will make a special appearance.

SLLIS partnerships with UMSL featured in university article

Today UMSL published “Education faculty, students shape young minds through language,” a multimedia look at the partnerships that SLLIS has in addition to the sponsor relationship.  The article features the instructional practice of two SLLIS teachers who studied at UMSL and the research support of UMSL Assistant Professor/TSS mama Lisa Dorner.

Mayor Slay mentions SLLIS in his 11/1 interview with St. Louis Public Radio

On Tuesday November 1, 2011, St. Louis Public Radio (KWMU) interviewed Mayor Francis Slay about various topics, such as the effects of the World Series on our city and St. Louis charter schools.

Mayor Slay talks about how some families are moving into the city, just so their children can attend some charter schools. He mentioned SLLIS in particular!
